Adding a New Category

The first thing to do is to create a new Web-Ring for your new category. Having created your new ring make a note of the ring ID and the Password you have chosen as you’ll need it for the next step.

Then add your new ring to the Master Directory Ring.

One thing to remember is that when you are adding your new ring to the master directories ring, you will need to enter the Ring ID of the ring you’ve just created. You will enter the new Ring ID in the field called Site Entry URL and you will enter it as

http://www.1ahost.co.uk/webring/list.pl?ringid=YOURRINGID

In the example below the RingID of the testing ring is NOF (see below) so if you had created a new ring with the ring ID as NOF then you would enter
http://www.1ahost.co.uk/webring/list.pl?ringid=NOF

Remember to give the category a meaningful description along with some sensible keywords so the search engines can trawl through the new ring and improve the ranking for your site and any others that may join later.

We will need to approve and activate any new category that is added to our directories
